Street Style: ENCUENTRO EN EL ALVEAR

Street Style: MEETING AT THE ALVEAR

Splendor and distinction twice in this post. Or the dazzling arrival of a hostess of high society to her natural habitat. I took this photo of businesswoman Ana Rusconi the day we met there on the occasion of an interview for the magazine with which I collaborate.
Member of The Leading Hotels of the World, the Alvear Palace Hotel is one of the most glorious paradigms of Buenos Aires. To the sound of classical music or jazz, and between gold laminated walls, marble floors and columns, ornate crystal chandeliers, Louis XV and Empire style furniture, signature artworks and a clear identity with their best European equivalents, there breathes the overwhelming presence of the golden age of Buenos Aires.
Regarding Ana, elegant and captivating as ever, she glows as much as her stilettos by René Caovilla, and communicates her joie de vivre. With this outfit, also shows her keen awareness of style, ideally balancing an ultra-feminine dress with refined but powerful complements to cut the sweet factor.

Given the overwhelming eloquence of these images, it is difficult to put forward arguments for Iguazú Falls as one of the new seven wonders of the planet, and be safe at the same time of the commonplace. Perhaps useful, a definition about this natural spectacle says Brazil has the stalls and Argentina is on stage. For my part, I'll tell you only that such was the impression of my first encounter with "the largest curtain of water in the world", that I wish to repeat the experience soon, and satisfy my adrenaline with the aquatic safari then.

However, despite my intention to put -as far as possible- a panoramic and representative backdrop of my country or abroad for the looks that I share here, don't forget that Nuar's raison d'être is fashion. But maybe it suits me clarify that the same was somewhat distorted in this case, considering the need for a proper dress code for a hike in full contact with the Paranaense tropical forest ecosystem, with its voracious insects and a temperature of 37 degrees.
The blouse and skirt are from Anthropologie, Miu Miu sandals and Fendi sunglasses.

¡ENHORABUENA, ACME!

Modesto Lomba receiving the award from King Juan Carlos I

ACME's Modesto Lomba, Roberto Torretta, Lucia Cordeiro and Davidelfin, among others, with the King

CONGRATULATIONS, ACME!

Brief and exceptional post, this time. Just to share the postcards from which was a proud moment for my dear friends of the Spanish Association of Fashion Designers, especially Lucia Cordeiro and Modesto Lomba, CEO and President respectively. Recognition of their work towards the development of their country fashion industry took shape in no less than the highest award granted by Spain in art and culture: the Gold Medal of Merit in Fine Arts, received from the hands of King Juan Carlos I. According to Lucia, the award means a great stimulus to their organization, while for other countries, including some in Latin America, it would be nice if the stimulus comes from the constant example ACME provides by their effort to support their industry and go beyond boundaries with its design Made in Spain.

ABIERTO DE POLO DE PALERMO: Style & Celebrities

Historic competitors: La Dolfina vs. Ellerstina

IN THE LAND OF MONARCHS
The name Termas de Reyes (King's Hot Springs) refers to the legend which tells this ravine was frequented by Royals of the Inca Empire, though it could also allude to the regal treatment received by guests in its precious colonial hotel, nestled among lush green hills, right on top of the slope of a stony river. This paradisiacal setting belongs to Northwest Argentina, more precisely to Jujuy -my home province-, and to visit it is an ideal weekend program when I spend the holidays there. Especially when the body begs for a truce with the pace of everyday life, there's nothing better than an hyperthermal water bath at its spa.

On this simple outfit, what I like best are the prints in soft contrast and the various ways of wearing clothes that allows overlapping.
Blouse, top and scarf by Cerruti 1881, jeans by Robin's Jean and belt by Ralph Lauren. The shades are from Prada, Isabel Marant bag and Miu Miu wedges.
